Our Locality

Hillbrook Grange Residential Care Home stands in the heart of Bramhall, one of the most attractive residential areas in Greater Manchester.

An affluent area with highly sought-after housing, Bramhall is a desirable location for families and retirees alike. It has excellent retail and recreational opportunities, whilst maintaining a strong sense of community and semi-rural village life.

Residents and visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk to Bramhall village centre. Less than a mile away is Bramall Hall, one of Cheshire’s finest pieces of architecture, dating back to the 14th century, where afternoon tea or a tour of the beautiful buildings and grounds is available.

Bramhall Park, which surrounds the hall, is the focus of many community events, from the weekly 5k run, through fetes and festivals, to an annual outdoor production of a Sakespearian play. The Ladybrook, a small river running through the park, hosts a couple of Duck Races each year, which raise thousands of pounds for local charities.

And for those wishing to enjoy the local retail scene, Bramhall village is thriving with boutiques, bars, cafes and restaurants, not to mention all manner of useful amenities including a post office, community library, various banks, chemists, a number of local GP practices, dentists, opticians and churches of different denominations.

Just a short car journey out of the village is the David Lloyd Leisure Centre with tennis club, gym and spa facilities, including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Adjacent to here sit a John Lewis department store and large chain supermarket. Or back to nature, nestling on the edge of the Peak District twenty minutes away in Disley is the National Trust’s Lyme Park with mansion house, gardens and moorland with wild deer.

Stockport town centre, the M56/M60/M6 motorway network and public transport are all easily accessible. For travel further afield, take the short walk to Bramhall railway station which sits conveniently on the mainline from Manchester Piccadilly to London, via Stoke-on-Trent.

Your friends and family are just a short journey away from Hillbrook Grange and you and your visitors are within a short distance of everything you could possibly need.
