The Management Team at Hillbrook Grange

Hillbrook is run with the residents' interests first and foremost and managed with a transparent and open approach. The open-door policy adopted by management promotes a positive and inclusive atmosphere amongst residents, relatives and staff alike. Our management team are:

  • Gavin Ferguson, General & Financial Manager, Director
  • Denise Cardew, Deputy Manager
  • Catherine Whitaker, Senior Care Supervisor


Hillbrook is administered by a board of eight directors who all live in the locality. Our directors have a wide array of professional skills, coming from both private and public sector backgrounds. Our board of directors are:

Under the direction of our board our home has gone from strength to strength. Thanks to sound investment and long-term strategic planning Hillbrook has embarked on a new chapter with the addition of a stunning new extension, making it much easier to cater for less mobile residents and greatly improving senior living. 

All our directors take an active interest in the operation of our home and our Chairperson adopts a very hands-on approach overseeing the home’s operations, supporting management and interacting with residents:

After all this time I have never once felt like coming here was coming to work. In fact, after my recent spinal surgery I stayed here for three months for some respite care and it was absolutely super. I really miss the place when I am not here and I will probably reside here myself one day”
